Lens glass or camera module?

If the small glass over the lens is cracked and photos show haze or flare, the shop may only need to replace that glass. If the picture is black, shakes, buzzes or cannot focus, the camera module is the more likely problem. Ask the technician to show you which it is, and get the quote for that specific job.

Problems Apple lists with non-genuine cameras

Apple says a non-genuine camera can cause these problems, sometimes only after an iOS update:

• The camera does not focus correctly, or images are not sharp.
• In Portrait mode the subject is not in focus, or only partly.
• Third-party apps that use the camera freeze or quit.
• The live preview in third-party apps appears blank.

How to test the camera before you pay

Take photos with every rear lens, the front camera and Portrait mode. Record a short video while walking. Open WhatsApp or Instagram and use the camera there too. On iPhone 12 and later, Apple's Parts and Service History (Settings > General > About) covers the front and rear cameras and marks them Genuine, Used or Unknown.

Apple also warns that a repair which does not refit screws and covers properly can leave loose parts that may damage the battery. A camera job opens the phone, so treat it seriously.

Front camera and Face ID

The front camera area also holds the Face ID system on iPhones that have it. Apple says Face ID or Touch ID will not unlock the phone or sign in to apps until a genuine part's calibration is finished with Repair Assistant. Ask the shop, before work starts, whether Face ID will still work.

iPhone camera repair price in Pakistan

We have not printed a rupee price on this page. Apple does not publish Pakistan repair prices, and Samsung Pakistan's own repair price page showed only AED prices for Fold and Flip models when we checked on 13 October 2026. Market prices change with the part grade and the dollar rate, so get a written quote that names the part before any work starts.

Why is my iPhone camera blurry after a repair?

Apple lists poor focus and soft images as possible problems with non-genuine cameras. Check Parts and Service History in Settings > General > About on iPhone 12 and later.

Can a cracked camera lens be fixed without replacing the camera?

Often, if only the lens glass is broken and the camera itself still focuses. Ask the shop to confirm which part needs replacing before you agree a price.
