Service for China phones near Jhang

Carlcare, the after-sales service brand for Tecno, Infinix and itel, does not list Jhang in its Pakistan service-centre finder (checked 3 October 2026). It does list Toba Tek Singh and Faisalabad. If you buy a brand new Infinix or Tecno in Jhang, keep the bill and the box; a warranty claim may mean one of those trips.

Samsung's Galaxy Consultants points are in Faisalabad and other big cities, not Jhang. Samsung's helpline is 0800 7267864, Monday to Sunday, 9am to 6pm.

Stolen phone check in Jhang

Punjab Police's e-Gadget app, developed with the Punjab Information Technology Board and available on Android and iOS, lets you enter an IMEI to see whether it has been reported stolen or lost. Run it on any second hand phone, along with the 8484 check.

For a private sale, ask for a copy of the seller's CNIC and a written note with the IMEI. A seller who refuses either is telling you something.

PTA check before you buy a phone in Jhang

Check PTA status before you pay, not after.

Dial *#06# on the phone, match that IMEI to the box and the bill, then send the IMEI by SMS to 8484 before any money changes hands. The PTA status guide explains each reply. The News reported on 10 May 2024 that smuggled phones are 'patched' with duplicated or cloned IMEIs to get past PTA's DIRBS system, that patching is illegal under PECA 2016, and that PTA had blocked 35 million IMEIs by 30 December 2023. A patched phone can work today and be blocked later.

If a phone is non-PTA and you plan to register it yourself, look up the FBR amount in the PTA tax guide before you agree a price.

• Ask in plain words: PTA approved, non-PTA, or patched?
• Get a bill, or for a private sale a written note, with the IMEI, the price, the date and the seller's phone number.
• Put your own SIM in and make a call before you leave.
• For a second hand phone, test the screen, cameras, speakers, charging port and battery; the inspection guide has a checklist.
